Still Torn Between Two Countries?
Put any of the eight destinations side by side — tuition, living costs, post-study work, visa fees and intakes in one table — and let the differences pick for you.
Tuition is only part of the story. Estimate your full year — fees, rent, food, transport and insurance — in rupees for any destination before you commit.
Rankings alone won't tell you where you belong. In our counselling sessions in Nadiad and Vallabh Vidyanagar, these are the four questions we work through with every student — usually in this order.
Total budget, not just tuition
A tuition-free German degree and a one-year UK Master's can end up costing similar amounts once you add living costs, insurance and visa funds. Work out the full picture with our cost calculator before shortlisting.
Strength in your field
Every destination has specialities — engineering in Germany, tech and pharma in Ireland, business and one-year Master's in the UK, research funding in the USA. Match the country to the career, not the other way round.
Post-study work & settlement
If staying on after graduation matters to you, compare work-rights honestly: Canada and Australia currently offer Indian graduates the longest runways, while Europe trades shorter permits for lower study costs.
Intake timing & readiness
September intakes carry the most courses and scholarships but need 8-12 months of lead time. If you're starting late, January/February intakes in the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand keep the year from going to waste.
A useful way to start: rule countries out instead of in. If your family budget is tight, Germany and France stay on the list and the USA probably drops off. If your goal is settling abroad, Canada and Australia rise to the top. If you want the fastest, most affordable route to a globally recognised Master's, the UK's one-year programs are hard to beat. Most students land on two or three realistic options within a single counselling session.
Then test those finalists against practical details: English requirements (see our and score guides), proof-of-funds rules, application deadlines, and how each country's visa process fits your timeline. Our country comparison tool and cost calculator do the number-crunching; a free session with an AEOC counsellor does the rest.
